Meals for the beginning of April

Our next week meals:

Sat.- BBQ New York Steaks with baked potatoes and canned corn
Sun.- Whole Chicken with mashed potatoes and mixed pasta
Mon. - Mans Casserole
Tues.- Mac and Cheese with Chicken Tenders and Tater Tots
Wed.- Spaghetti with meat sauce and Garlic Cheese Bread
Thurs.- Hot Dogs
Fri.- Manicotti and Cheese Bread
Sat.- BBQ (something from the freezer)
Sun.- Pizza (diner out)

I have always tried to plan our weeks meals until the next shopping trip, but I found that if I don't write it down I get lazy and fall short. I'm hoping that since I've taken the time to write our meals out I will stick to them.

What are you eating this week?

I saved $9.70 just in coupons, thats more than double what I usually do. The General Mills deal on cereal was a major hot save! The Hormel Dinners were buy one get one free and I had a coupon, which I had been saving. I didn't buy much to stock our cupboards because I planned out meals for next week and we just about had everything we will need. I'm hoping I can make it 2 weeks without going back to the store, but I may need to run in for some milk.

Our camera broke so I am not able to take a picture of the end shopping results, so a list will have to suffice.

2 boxes of mashed potatoes (1.50) after $1 off coupon and on sale.
... and more

Because I spent over $50 I got a gift card for $10 off my next purchase.

I went way over my $40 budget, since it was Stater Brothers re-Grand Opening they had so many good deals I couldn't pass up.

Total before savings $113.67
Total after savings $71.02 (before taxes)

Total savings of $42.65 or 38%

I was able to stock our cupboards fairly well with this purchase so I'm guessing I wont have to go back to the store for at least 2 weeks.
